I had bowls full of snack size bags of these nuts for the Bazaar-perfect to grab for a treat
(oh-that shopping makes one hungry) or a quick hostess gift.
They are the perfect combo of salt, sweet and just a tease of hot, and are a great addition to any holiday buffet or cheese tray. You could also package them up in vintage tins for holiday giving.
2 cups nuts (I've used almonds, pecans, and cashews-or do a mix!)
2 T butter, melted
1 t ground cinnamon
1/4 t cayenne pepper
2 T sugar
1/4 t salt
-mix nuts, spices and melted butter in a bowl until nuts are well coated.
-spread in a single layer on a baking pan
-bake at 325 for about 20 minutes (until nuts are toasted), stirring occasionally
They are so quick, easy and tasty, and they store for up to a week in an airtight container.
