Collecting: Elves and Pin-ups

An odd pairing, I know, but when I was sorting through the photos of the jewelry room last week I noticed that these two themes showed up together quite often.  As you know from a previous post, I love and collect elves.  I also collect vintage pin-ups.  The pin-ups fit quite naturally into the girlie jewelry room, and I guess I have a predilection for throwing in elves to keep things from getting too naughty.

The hula girl is a motion picture.  That's right, tilt the frame up and down, and she does the hula!
With his rear stuck in the air and legs posed,
the mini elf lounging close by is a bit sassy in his own right.
This guy looks pretty innocent perched on top of a toadstool,
but the dancer in the background is anything but innocent.
her stanza reads....
'This gal's a livewire, Her dance a sensation:
What makes her so shocking
Is......no insulation!'
Oh goodness, this time an angel and an elf keep company with a pin-up girl.
Photos have a great way of revealing things that you don't see with the naked eye.
I never set out to create vignettes of elves and pin-ups, but it seems that is exactly what has happened.
I like it.
