quick kitchen tips

Here are some quick, all natural, chemical free ways to take care of some everyday kitchen problem areas.

Baking soda and vinegar are a wonder combo for just about anything you want to clean around the house.
To freshen up your sink drain, pour 1/2 cup of baking soda down, followed by 1 cup of white vinegar.
Let this work it's magic for about 20 minutes, then follow up with a pot of boiling water.

To easily clean grime and splatters off the inside of your microwave oven, "cook" a small bowl of water on high for 1 minute (or two if you have really stubborn crud).  Take the bowl out, and wipe with a
damp cloth.  Spills will wipe right off with no scrubbing.

Once a week, freshen up your cutting boards with a little coarse salt worked into the board with half a lemon.  This will clean off residue and rid the board of odors, plus make your whole kitchen smell lemon-y.
