An extra sweet treat

Sweet Potato Pecan Butter Pie
only has one crust,
which means...
that I had an extra crust laying around.
Can't have that!
So, I rolled the dough out.
Cut it into stars (and other assorted shapes-can't waste a snippet!).
Then sprinkled them with cinnamon and sugar.
I popped them into the oven still at 350 degrees from pie baking,
and they were hot and ready just as Ruby woke up from her nap.
We tasted a few first,
then shared them with Mama and Papa and Jasper.

  1. My mama always used to make us those with the scraps of pie dough. :)
