april showers bring........

I'm going to take a little break from Pies and Aprons-probably about a month. I've been debating all week as it's not an easy decision to make. But, you know when something just feels like the right thing to do? This feels like the right thing for me to do right now. As you may have noticed, I have not written many posts in the past month. This was not intentional....the week would go by and I would realize that it was PIE DAY again, and that I hadn't posted all week. Ironically, I was taking a blogging class during that time. I know that part of my reason for taking the class was to try to inject some new energy into my bloggy life.

When I started this blog 1 1/2 years ago, I was in between jobs, and slightly altering my work direction. It seemed like a really great way to energize my self and my creative brain every day, while sharing some ideas with readers, and building an online portfolio. Sometimes, you reach a point-in a job, a relationship, a blog,-where you need to step back and really take a good look at what is happening, and at what you want to happen. I'm at that point with Pies and Aprons. I love writing, I love sharing my ideas, I love that you read it and love it. Many Fridays, I have woken up and thought, "Really...time for another pie already? I can't possibly keep coming up with new recipes." But then, inspiration would strike, I would roll out my pie crust, and truly enjoy the fact that I had to meet that challenge every week.

I hope you will forgive my need for a little time, and come back to see what I come up with next. Possibly, my page background or font color might be the only thing that will change....but I need the time to decide that. I can assure you that I will never stop baking pies:), and I hope a few of you have been inpired to start!

Happy April. Happy, happy spring.
I'll be back real soon.
