More celebrating and a giveaway!

Late last fall, I shared my excitement with you over the release of the book Where Women Cook: Celebrate!
I was fortunate enough to have our family's cabin game dinner featured in the book.
Today, I am also lucky enough to have another little shout out on Amuse Bouche, the Where Women Cook blog. All of the women shown celebrating in this lovely book will be featured on Amuse Bouche in the next few weeks, so stop in often to say hello and learn more about them.

You can also get a couple of my bonus recipes on the blog,
Roasted Pheasant and Cranberry Beet Chutney,
plus lots of other inspiring recipes
from many of the other talented ladies in the book.

AND........To keep the celebration going,
I am giving away a copy of the book today!
Please leave a comment below
with your favorite celebration.
Entries must be received by
Friday, January 20th at midnight,
and a random winner will be chosen
on Saturday the 21st.

Good luck!
Christine

p.s. a post on your blog, Facebook or twitter account gives you another chance to win.
just tell me about it for another entry!

  2. I just love to keep up with what you are doing. You are so talented. Keep it coming. FYI - Caroline and I are no longer going to do our Plant Sale. We both reached the age where it was just too much work in such a short time span that it was wearing us out. Caroline has had some back problems and wants to slow down to enjoy life. We haven't been able to go to other plant nursery's or to see Tulip shows early in the year so we are hoping to get on the road some come spring. I am going to concentrate on my own, unattended garden this year and try to get the house painted. Jeanne Quick

  5. Hello and congratulations! My favorite celebration would have to be anytime my family is together. We are spread out over the USA and Guatamela, so anytime we can see each other is a time to celebrate, eat and get loud!

  7. My daughters and I love to spend time in the kitchen creating meals and desserts. We turn ordinary days into celebrations but especially love celebrating birthdays by making the birthday person's favorite foods.

  9. Wow, Congratulations! My favorite celebration is on Christmas Eve. My husband's father passed away several years ago, and we have the tradition of making his special soup recipe with every member of the family adding one ingredient.

  13. Dear Christine,
What a generous offer to give away the cookbook where you are featured. My favorite celebration is Christmas, but, then I can carry the momentum into the New Year and celebrate each holiday as it comes up. The older I get, the more I want to celebrate!

  15. I love the 4th of July! I live in a small town that goes all out on the 4th. The festivities start with the annual parade, followed by activities all throughout the day including turtle races, a rodeo, free BBQ dinner for the whole town, an awesome fireworks display and ends with a street dance!

  16. O Happy Day!! Christmas is my most favorite as that has been a family tradition of gathering, food, and catching up with family. Grandma inspired us, and we are working on keeping the celebration as we, too, grow older and are not always able to gather.

    Love!!
